Since I no longer live in Savannah, I am just now learning the sad news of Dan Fogarty's passing. He was such a dear man and I was honored to call him my friend. His fidelity to the Adoration Chapel was constant and it was always to joy to see him at morning Mass at St. James. I miss Savannah and now I am sad to learn that what I left behind has been diminished by Dan's absence. God Bless him.

My sorrow is, I will never, again, receive his advice and counsel. To Chip and his sisters, your Dad is a hero and a patriot. He touched many lives. I am grateful that I was allowed to share a little bit of the Col. Thank you.

Dear Dan, Marie and the Fogarty family, Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss…my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. I pray that the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief and I send you thoughts of comfort. Remembered Joy Irish Poem Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I follow the plan God laid for me. I saw his face, I heard his call, I took his hand and left it all... I could not stay another day, To love, to laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way. And if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss... Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss. My life's been full, I've savoured much: Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief- Don't shorten yours with undue grief. Be not burdened with tears of sorrow, Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow. God Bless you all. Claire
